With its strong graceful stance, this
handsome clock will be a cherished addition for any home. The solid wood straight
waist case is finished in elegant cherry with a distinguished swan neck crown.
It is adorned with carved rosettes that flank the turned and fluted urn finial
as well as a decorative leaf finial support. Angled and recessed fluted, half
turned columns add a sense of depth to this case. The deeply molded dual-tiered
base offers a framed burl panel and angled scroll panels decorated with carved
leaves. Beveled glass is found on the side panels and the locking waist door.
The dial has applied brass Arabic numerals and embossed moons in the castings
that are also duplicated on the center disk of the polished pendulum bob with
a full harp. The brass 8-day cable driven movement offers the three most renowned
clock melodies, Westminster, Whittington and St. Michael. The movement features
a Graham anchor, second hand and automatic night shutoff.
